Securities Regulations and Misuse of Company Information: Legal Lessons from International Experience

Risks resulting currently from the misuse of undisclosed information exceed the risks resulting from traditional crimes. There is no doubt that the misuse of undisclosed information, as a form of securities crimes, often leads to great damage to the securities market and its participants and ultimately to the national economy. Hence, policies and strategies are required to combat and address such harmful activity, and many measures can be taken to combat this kind of crime in the UAE. The researcher discusses the effectiveness of the misuse of undisclosed information law in the UAE and will look for lessons that can be learned from the experiences of the US and the UK in this regard. Thus, legislative measures and preventive measures will be addressed, and measures for discovering and controlling the misuse of undisclosed information will be proposed .
